Module 3 - Anatomy Training

Our SAOR Teacher Training program(anatomy module) will deepen your understanding of how human movement works from head to toe. We will explore how the human body and its systems work together in order to maximize our training efforts and in a way that encourages natural movement within each class you take and teach.

Three parts:

Part 1 – Organization of the Body: Understand the muscles, the joints and the how movement should feel in your body. We will dive in to the anatomy of breathing as it relates to regulation of your nervous system and how movement and breath can create a felt sense throughout your practice. (Jill Bodak)

Part 2 – Inner Core Unit:  Create a deeper understanding of the anatomy of the pelvic floor, deep core, and lumbar spine. With that understanding we will introduce movement and cues to connect and activate these structures. We will also discuss pre/post natal considerations as well as modifications for diastasis, incontinence and prolapse. (Florence Bowen)

Part 3 – Movement within the Body + Injury Prevention: Understand how the major joints of the body are tied to movements in classes. We will discuss types of injuries, understand what they are, how they happen, and what modifications can be given. (Tanya Dei Tigli)
